Omri heeft de laatste jaren naam gevestigd als veelgevraagd kamermusicus.

Omri werd geboren in Israël in 1986 en al op jonge leeftijd toonde hij grote belofte. Als 7- jarige begon hij met zijn pianostudie bij Sarah Tal aan het Isreali Conservatory in Tel Aviv en sindsdien treedt hij regelmatig op als solist en als kamermusicus. Toen hij nog is Israël studeerde won Omri de Israeli Conservatory junior en senior piano competities en kreeg hij de prestigieuze America-Israel Cultural Foundation beurs toegekend. Sindsdien heeft hij concerten gegeven in Frankrijk, Duitsland, Zwitserland, Israel, de Engeland en in de VS.

 

In september 2002 verhuisde hij met zijn familie naar Engeland en werd hij toegelaten om te studeren aan de Purcell School bij Ronald Smith. In Engeland won hij nog meer prijzen in competities waaronder de 2de prijs bij de Turnbridge Wells International Young Concert Artists Competition. Nadat hij de Purcell School Piano Competition won, speelde Omri het Rachmaninoff Piano Concert No. 3 gedirigeerd door Damian Iorio, in de Royal College of Music. Zijn optreden met het Israeli Symphony Orchestra en werd uitgezonden op de Israeli radio.

Omri is lid van het hoog aangeschreven pianotrio The Busch Ensemble, waarmee hij veel succes heeft op de Europese concertpodia. Omdat zij verscheidene prijzen wonnen op internationale wedstrijden leidt hun drukke concertagenda hen alleen dit seizoen al naar Duitsland, Zwitserland, Denemarken, Nederland en Italië en naar podia zoals The Southbank Centre en The Wigmore Hall. Ze zijn regelmatig te beluisteren op BBC Radio 3 InTune; ze hebben een tournee door China in het vooruitzicht, en ook samenwerkingen met Michael Collins en Bruno Giuranna, recitals in King’s Place en in het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam alsmede een terugkeer naar Wigmore Hall.

Omri won een volledige studiebeurs en studeerde daarmee af aan de Royal College of Music. Verder rondde hij een uitwisselingsprogramma af aan de Universität der Künste in Berlijn. In 2012 studeerde hij af aan de Royal Academy of Music waar hij samenwerkte met Sulamita Aronovsky. Zijn leermeesters waren onder andere Ruth Nye, Rainer Becker en Gordon Fergus-Thompson.

In recent years Omri has established himself as sought after chamber musician. Born in Israel in 1986, Omri showed great promise from an early age. He commenced his piano studies at the age of 7 with Sarah Tal at the Israeli Conservatory in Tel Aviv and has been performing regularlysince, both solo and chamber music. While still a student in Israel, Omri won the Israeli Conservatory junior and senior piano competitions and was a recipient of the prestigious America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarship. Subsequently he has given concerts in France, Germany, Switzerland, Israel, UK and the USA.
 
In September 2002 he moved with his family to the U.K. and was accepted to study at the Purcell School with Ronald Smith. In the UK hewent on to win further prizes in competitions, including the 2nd Prize at the Tunbridge Wells International Young Concert Artists Competition. Having won the Purcell School concerto competition, Omri performed Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No.3 conducted by Damian Iorio at theRoyal College of Music. He also played with the Israeli Symphony Orchestra and broadcast on Israeli radio.
 
Omri is now a member of the highly regarded piano trio, The Busch Ensemble, with whom he enjoys much success on the European concert platform. After winning several prizes at international competitions, their busy concert schedule will take them to Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Holland and Italy and to venues such as the Southbank Centre and the Wigmore Hall this season alone. They regularly appear on BBC Radio 3 InTune and future a tour of China and collaborations with Michael Collins and Bruno Giuranna, recitals in King’s Place and Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw as well as a return to Wigmore Hall.
 
Having won a full scholarship, Omri studied and graduated from the Royal College of Music and also completed an exchange programme with the Universität der Künste in Berlin. In 2012 he graduated from the Royal Academy of Music working with Sulamita Aronovsky. His teachers included Ruth Nye, Rainer Becker and Gordon Fergus-Thompson.
